The legacy started by A. V. Meiyappan way back is well and truly followed religiously by his sons AVM Saravanan and AVM Balasubramaniam. Both of them have been involved in movie production in various capacities for decades now.

After the stupendous success of the Rajini starrer 'Sivaji', AVM Saravanan along with his son Guhan is producing the Suriya starrer 'Ayan' that also stars Tammana. Since 'Vaaranam Aayiram's' release has been delayed the producers decided to take their own time in completing 'Ayan'. 'Vaaranam Aayiram' releases on the 14th of November. 'Ayan' still has to film its climax scene and certain portions of Harris Jayaraj's re-recording and so the film is expected to release around January of 2009….probably on Pongal day.

Meanwhile AVM Balasubramaniam along with his son Shanmugam is producing a film titled 'A, Aa, E, Ee' that stars Navdeep, Arvind Akash, Monica and Saranya Mohan. Reports suggest that the film is the remake of a Telugu flick 'Chandamama'. The film also has Prabhu performing in a vital role. Vijay Antony has been roped in to compose music.

Upon completion of 'A, Aa, E, Ee' AVM Balasubramaniam is expected to produce a Telugu film.

The legacy started by A. V. Meiyappan seems to be strengthening itself manifold with the AVM sons Saravanan and Balasubramaniam.
