Baabul: BR Film's gift on 50 years completion

Baabul is a special film for veteran film maker B R Chopra. And why not? After all it comes in the year when the production house has completed 50 years in the Hindi film industry.

Starting with 'Ek Hi Raasta' [Ashok Kumar, Sunil Dutt and Meena Kumari] half a century back, the production house has gained from strength to strength over the years with numerous blockbusters to its credit. The production house is also known for its innumerous socials and 'Baabul' is yet another addition to the list.

Directed by Ravi Chopra, son of B R Chopra, 'Baabul' stars Amitabh Bachchan in the central role as he pairs up with his 'Baghban' leading lady Hema Malini. Salman Khan, Rani Mukherjee and John Abraham are the other principal characters along with Om Puri, Aman Verma, Parmeet Sethi, Rajpal Yadav and Smita Jaykar.
