Plans are being put together for the Independence Day weekend release of 'Aarakshan'. Already in the eye of storm for the volatile content that it promises to bring on screen due to the sensitive issue of reservation, 'Aarakshan' has been in news ever since it's inception. Filmmaker Prakash Jha is aware about the debate that is all set to rage with the film but is undeterred nonetheless as he believes that the film is just a mirror of what is happening in the country.

"See, we cannot deny the fact that we are a cast based society. This means that there is a difference in strata that comes in. Due to this the moment you start bridging the gap in the society, it is but obvious that while you would be bringing someone up, there is also someone else whom you would bring down. It is this 'satya' (truth) of the society that 'Aarakshan' explores," says Jha who can be trusted to bring powerful content on screen via some hard hitting visuals.

Come 12th August and it would be seen how volatile 'Aarakshan' turns out to be once it sees a global release for itself. Produced by Firoz Nadiadwala, 'Aarakshan' boasts of a powerful cast comprising of Amitabh Bachchan, Saif Ali Khan, Manoj Bajpayee, Deepika Padukone and Prateik Babbar.
