The festival of Pongal is reckoned as the biggest season for Tollywood films. A slew of films will be scheduled for release on this auspicious festival every year. This Pongal also holds a special place among Tollywood movie-buffs as two stalwarts from one of the illustrated families of Tollywood are fighting it out for box office supremacy. Buzz is that Balakrishna`s Dictator and NTR starrer Nannaku Prematho are going to clash at the ticket window in less than a week`s time.

According to film-nagar sources one only movie among the aforesaid films will hit the screens for the festival. A veteran producer is said to be mediating between NTR and Balakrishna to avoid a clash at the box office for a while now. It is learnt that Balakrishna is in no mood to oblige the proposal of the producer and made up his mind to schedule the release of Dictator on January 14. Left with no choice, the producer has approached NTR with the same proposal and got an assurance from the Rabhasa star.

According to the producer, NTR said, "If Dictator is arriving as per the schedule I will reschedule the release of my film keeping in view of our producers` well-being. Since we pumped in crores of Rupees on these films, it`s difficult to recover the investments and I don`t want to put any of our distributors in a fix."

In all probability, only one film from Nandamuri family is expected to release for this Pongal. Let's wait for an official announcement before jumping to conclusions.
