Nandamuri Balakrishna was seen serving food to cancer patients yesterday. He was taking part in the Annamrita programme organised by Hare Krishna Movement.

The actor was seen wearing the sacred tilak and interacting withme paitents. He was accompanied by some aides. Appearances of this sort by the actor are few and far between. However, he has always encouraged his fans to take up charity works and organise blood donation camps across the State.

Balakrishna’s film Sri Rama Rajyam is scheduled to release on Nov. 17. The death of Illayaraja’s wife is unlikely to affect the scheduled release, sources say.
