Balu Mahendra has been getting quite a few lucky previews of upcoming films lately. First, it was Kamal's "Vishwaroopam" and now it is Bala's "Paradesi".

Yes! The director of "Pradesi", Bala, sees Balu Mahendra as his mentor and guru and arranged a special screening for him at a preview theatre recently. The actual film is to be released in February. "Paradesi" is rumoured to be the best of Bala's films so far and stars Atharva, Dhansika and Vedhika for which the music was composed by GV Prakash. This is a story of a real life incident that took place in the tea estates before the independence was given. Balu Mahendra was so moved by the film that he hugged Bala after watching it. "It is one of the best movies I have ever seen and definitely Bala’s best ever." said the veteran director.
