Ranbir Kapoor-Priyanka Chopra-IlleanaÂs Barfi! is the official Oscar nomination for a round that will see a stiff competition among scores of films. If the film gets selected there for the final round, it will be India's first Oscar nominee after Lagaan. Thus, there is a long way to go for the film to acquire the status of Lagaan.
Ranbir Kapoor was admittedly belated and attributed it to the team effort. He is not overwhelmed with joy because he is aware that it is yet to be selected for the main entry.
If the film gets selected for the final five, he will take advice from Aamir Khan about how to go ahead.
He has stated that the makers are expecting the film to cross the Rs. 500 cr mark, which seems an impossibility. The 85th Academy Awards will take place on February 24, 2013.
