Bengaluru cop stops President's convoy for ambulance

A Bengaluru traffic cop has won hearts for clearing traffic for an ambulance, even stopping the convoy of the President Pranab Mukherjee in the process at the city`s busy Trinity Circle junction.

Sub-inspector M L Nijalingappa handled the situation with such presence of mind that praise is flowing in from all directions. Following a tweet from Deputy Commissioner of Police Abhei Goyal, social media users were quick to take note of and register their appreciation for the traffic cop, flooding the Bengaluru Traffic Police pages in no time. The Bengaluru Police has announced a reward to recognize the sub-inspector`s action.
