What is it all about

Sid (read Ranbir Kapoor) wakes up to the call and turns the massy raapchik guy found every street with a game changing instinct, vigor zest and color..

`Besharam' the Reliance Entertainment Presentation of a Movie Temple Production helmed by the 'Dabangg' tagged Abhinav Kashyap overwhelmingly rides on Ranbir Kapoor's massy dhamal act and is shamelessly proud to be simple but still it is contagious to fans.

The Story

Well the writers Rajeev Barnwal and Abhinav Kashyap do nothing just re heat the old parathas in todays oven where an orphan Babli (Ranbir Kapoor) is a street smart car mechanic living in a Delhi orphanage. He is charming and lives life to the fullest. He also steals cars to support his orphanage. He has no sense of right or wrong till he unwittingly hurts the love of his life, Tara (Pallavi Sharda). Babli realizes that there is no right way of doing the wrong thing. Babli sets out to fix all the wrongs in his life and he continues to be shameless about it.

What to look out for

Ranbir Kapoor is deliciously voila, completely in command and entertainingly corny to the core. This is a game changer for the actor who is known for his flawless coming of age portray in b-town feel good bubble gum musicals.. Certainly he is the knight in this shining armour..

Papa Rishi Kapoor and mama Neetu are enjoyable. Jaaved Jaaferi is excellent. Amitosh Nagpal is fine.

The songs look colorful and enjoyable on screen of where the title and Chal Hand Uthake Nachche featuring all the three Kapoors together are the best of the lot..

What not

There is no story in this acting glory.. a lot and lot was expected from Dabangg famed helmer Abhinav Kashyap who in Besharam is shamelessly out of touch. There is no effort whatsoever to add any dimensions to the film which is simply watchable for Ranbir heroics as an actor.. imagine Dabangg director teaming up with the Kapoors and what we get.. an average film which easily could have being  done by anyone.. the real caliber of a film maker comes to test when he does his second cause the first one is your dream and the vision is always in your mind.. Abhinav Kashyap shamelessly downgrades himself as a filmmaker in Besharam..

What was the casting director smoking while selecting Pallavi Sharda opposite Ranbir Kapoor.. or was there any casting director.. anyways newcomer Pallavi Sharda may be fine actress to those who have chosen her for this role but here she appears completely unfit for the role...what a blunder.. because of this wrong casting the romance is completely missing from this film. The songs look good on screen but Lalit Pandit music doesn't has a take home number.

Conclusion: Ranbir Kapoor is deliciously voila, completely in command and entertainingly corny to the core in `Besharam' which is otherwise a very average effort as a film by Abhinav Kashyap.

Rating *** (only for Ranbir Kapoor's bravado on screen).
