Best Seven Heroines of 2013

Nearly 50 plus heroines including the top actress Shriya Sharan and Pakistani actress Veena Mallik appeared on Kannada silver screen in the year 2013 but five of the local girls got attention for their power roles. Five local and two imported heroines have made it to the big screen in the last years.

Shwetha Srivatsav of ‘Simple Agi Ondh Love Story’, Rachita Ram of ‘Bul Bul’, Shruthi Hariharan of Lucia and Dyavre, Sukrutha Wagle of ‘Jatta and Luv’, Pavani of ‘Gombegala Love’ and ‘Jatta’ received maximum attention in the year 2013.

Among the international import heroines Veena Mallik from Pakistan got good attention for her appearance and controversy. ‘Silk…Sakkath Hot Maga’ was not that big hit but it was OK for the producer R Venkatappa.

It was serene beauty Shriya Saran looked like ‘Chand Ka Tukda’ for her presence in Roopa Iyer directorial venture ‘Chandra’. Shriya Saran first one as heroine in Kannada the silver screen looked beautiful from her presence. The film was average in Kannada version.

LOCALS - Milana from ‘Brindavana’, Kavya Shetty and Neha from ‘I am in Love’, Prarthana of ‘Pyar Ge Agbitaithe’, Dr Bharathi from ‘Jayammana Maga’, Pavani from ‘Jatta’, Sukrutha Wagle from Luv and Jatta, Jahnavi Kamath from ‘Paravi’, Akila Kishore from ‘Padhe Padhe’, Sushma Raj and Naksha Shetty from Madarangi, Shravya from ‘Loosugalu’, Gamya from ‘Pagade’, Sonia Gowda from ‘Jinke Mari’, Aviva Biddappa from ‘Ale’, Shruthi Raj from Neralu, Rukmini Vijayakumar from ‘Bhajarangi’, Namitha from ‘Chitramandiradalli’, Pavithra Gowda from ‘Chatrigalu Sar Chatrigalu’, Chayasri from ‘Suri Gang’, Ujwala from ‘Sri Amareshwara Mahatme’, Kushi from ‘Dhanu’, Rachana Gowda from ‘Jeethu’, Roopa Nataraj from ‘Gaali’ are also notable could not make it as the films were average.

IMPORTED – Sameera Reddy from ‘Varadanayaka’, Karthika Nayar from ‘Brindavana’, Sharanya from ‘E Bhumi Aa Bhanu’, Mrudula from Delhi in ‘Padhe Padhe’, Voila Mathew and Niloafer from ‘Umesh’, Trupti, Upasana, Supriya from ‘Colors in Bangalore’, Kanchana from Money Hani Shani, Meenakshi from ‘Janma’, Nikki Das from ‘Mandhahasa’, Roopanjali from Neenandre Ishta Kano, Parvathi Nirban from ‘Aane Pataki’, Poorna of Radhan Ganda, Tanvi Lonkar, Priya Bharat Khanna, Apoorva Arora from ‘Teenage’, Asmitha Soodh from ‘Victory’, Akshara Menon from ‘Daasavala’, Apsara from ‘Antarya’, Tashu Kaushik from ‘Cool Ganesha’ have made debut in Kannada filmdom in 2013.
