Relieved at the success of Em Mahan, Bharath has shown that among young crop of actors he is the one to be taken seriously.

Bharath is also happy that EM Mahan has given him a new identity as opposed to the lover boy image enjoyed by him so far.

‘The movie has won me the boy next-door tag. So far over a dozen producers have approached me to act in their films. But I am in no hurry. I want to be patient and watchful,’ he says.

Bharath is now pinning lots of hopes on his forthcoming release Chennai Kadhal and Veyyil.

Chennai Kadhal is close to my heart. ‘I play a spontaneous character. Donning the role of an urban guy, I have action, romance, sentiments and humor in the movie. Director Vikraman has dished out a movie that would be different from his style. It’s stylish and peppy, Shot in foreign locales, the movie would attract youth folk’.

On Veyyil, Bharath says, ‘It is third with Shankar after Boys and Kadhal. Shankar appreciated me personally and expressed satisfaction at my performance.’

The young hero has also got movies like Koodal Nagar and Killadi ready to go to the floors.
