Big B, Dhanush clash through kite-flying

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, National award winner Dhanush and Akshara Haasan who makes her big Bollywood debut in R.Balki`s 'Shamitabh', travelled to Ahmedabad to celebrate Makar Sankranti with CM Anandiben Patel.

While thousands of ardent Bachchan fans flocked the venue, Dhanush too was in for a surprise as the actor`s local fans turned up to catch a glimpse of him at the venue. The event saw Mr.Bachchan and Dhanush participate in a friendly kite flying competition, taking forward the film`s central theme of "Clash of the Titans".

On the occasion said Big B, "Gujarat is like home to me and I'm happy to revisit Ahmedabad". The veteran star also had tweeted later, "HAPPY MAKARSANKRANTI !!! to all .. and what better way to celebrate than to be in Ahmedabad and be KITE FLYING .. #shamitabhMovie".

Said Dhanush, "For It's always a pleasure to visit Ahmedabad. I was here 2 years ago for Raanjhanaa and I'm happy to be here to promote Shamitabh."

Presented by Eros International, produced by RK Damani, Sunil Lulla, Gauri Shinde, Rakesh Jhunjhuwaala and Abhishek Bachchan, 'Shamitabh' is scheduled to release February 6th 2015.
