If luck favours for the B-Town screen icon then, a trophy of Oscar will grace the megastar’s house.

Buzz is that Amitabh Bachchan might enter the prestigious Oscar race for his role in Hollywood flick ‘The Great Gatsby’ if all goes well. Talks are that the makers Warner Bros. are working towards sending the veteran Bollywood actor’s name for the Oscar nomination list for the Best Supporting Actor category at the upcoming 86th Academy Awards (in March 2014).

Besides Big B, the film’s other actors Tobey Maguire and Joel Edgerton have also been considered for the same category by Warner Bros.

While ‘The Great Gatsby’ marks Mr.Bachchan’s debut in Hollywood, the actor on several occasions had laughed it off calling it a mere friendly appearance. In the movie, Mr.Bachchan features in a minuscule scene of two minutes duration, where he essays the character of gangster Meyer Wolfsheim, who is a great friend of Gatsby (played by Leonardo DiCaprio). Although a very brief role, Big B made a great impression with his performance and stood out among other Hollywood cast in the film.
