Following Pawan Kalyan's call for Jallikattu-type peaceful protests for Special Category Status for Andhra Pradesh, Mega family members, in the main Sai Dharam Tej, Varun Tej and Naga Babu, have responded with a similar call. Small-time actors like Sampoornesh Babu, and a few writers and directors have joined the bandwagon by tweeting in favour of the planned silent protest at RK Beach in Vizag tomorrow (Jan 26th). The same, however, drew no enthusiastic response from Tollywood's biggies until a few hours ago.

But with the call gaining traction among the people of the State, the likes of SS Rajamouli, Rana Daggubati and Ram Pothineni have tweeted in support of the protest tomorrow. They have urged for co-operation with police tomorrow.

It seems that supporting the demand has become important for Tollywoodians in view of the emotional appeal. When the pro-Jallikattu protests broke out in Tamil Nadu, Kollywoodians had to throw their weight behind the cause in strong emotional terms, nothing less. One superstar went to the extent of saying that PETA should be sent home.

Things are going to take this emotional tone here as well.

The dictum is: You should not only support special status, but also seem to be supporting it.
