The 'Billa 2' teaser-trailer, which was uploaded on a video sharing website on Tamil New Year's Day, has won the admiration of fans and film-buffs. It has become a rage among the Thala fans in social networking and microblogging pages.

Happy with the trailer going viral within hours, the producers of the film came out with a statement, saying that the teaser was just a beginning to big things that are going to come soon.

“The trailer has been trending right from the moment it appeared and the way it is going it may create a record of sorts." read the statement.

"With lakhs of viewers creating a virtual mayhem and filling in hundreds of pages with viewer comments, the overall response, we can be sure, is a true indication of the box office waiting to explode when Billa 2 releases. The teaser is just the beginning," it added.

The 51st film of Ajith, 'Billa 2' is a prequel to 'Billa'. Yuvan Shankar Raja scores the music, while Parvathy Omanakuttan is the heroine.
