Young and sensational choreographer turned director Harshaa of 'Geleya' has not learnt the lessons from the previous film's box office response. He picks up a dry and dull subject for 'Birugali'. The need of the hour is quick screenplay and engaging scenes which the director has forgotten to keep in this film. There is not much of storm but cool breeze in this film that is very mediocre.
The saving grace of this film is Chetan of 'Aa Dinagalu' fame. He has the perfect height and build for being the hero.
Hachchi (Chetan) left in lurch in childhood grows up in Besaganur doing good things to the people. His intention of getting house for the people to live, materialize once he leaves for the city to earn. He works as Hafta collector on commission basis with the underworld don. In the city, he falls for an unknown girl where as Anju (Sithara Vaidhya) daughter of his mentor is silently in love with Hachchi. On one side, the underworld becomes very cruel for Hachchi and he had to leave the place to avoid further complications. When Hachchi returns with the loss of a few of his team members, he is advised to vacate his home town for a better living.
The main stay of this film is actor Chetan. His looks, pony tail and cooling glass in addition to silent style of dialogue delivery are worth taking note. Sithara Vaidya is impressive but not Charismatic Bharadwaj. Action scenes have been composed very well.
Madhura Pisumathige..is the best among all, while Helbid Helbide.is a fast item song, Cinematography by state award winning HC Venu is classic.
On the whole 'Birugali' is an average entertainer!
