'Bittoo Boss' has turned out to be one of the major box office disappointments of the year so far. It just failed to rise after a poor opening and collections continued to slide over the weekdays, hence resulting in a mere 2 crore coming in at the end of first week. In fact the film has been discontinued from most theaters in its second week and one can expect an early DVD release now.

The film just couldn't find any breathing space for itself, courtesy largely lukewarm reviews. However it was suffocated from all ends with 'Housefull 2' continuing to do roaring business at the box office. Such was the euphoria around continued run of the Sajid Khan directed affair that despite it being in the second week, 'Housefull 2' topped the 30 crores mark which was just phenomenal.

With such huge competition killing whatever little chances that the film carried, 'Bittoo Boss' turned out to be a disappointment for Abhishek Pathak who had tasted success with his debut production 'Pyaar Ka Punchnama' just a year back.

On the other hand there are celebrations galore in the Nadiadwala camp with 'Housefull 2' adding further moolah in its third weekend as well and now topping the 100 crore mark. While such fantastic collections are a first for Akshay Kumar, Sajid Nadiadwala and Sajid Khan, it has also come as a shot in the arm for the trio who had to battle quite some negativity coming their way before gaining audience confidence and acceptance.

'Housefull 2' is now heading towards the 115 crore and while 'Singham', 'Golmaal 3' and 'Don 2' would be left behind, it would be interesting to see if the 'Ghajini' and 'Ra.One' record (~115 crores) would be broken. Also, with some luck it may even surpass the collections of 'Agneepath' and 'Ready' (~120 crores) though it seems like a long shot for sure.
