Two frozen bodies found in the Alps glacier are believed to be that of Marcelin and Francine Dumoulin who disappeared in 1942, when they were reportedly on the way to feed their cattle in a nearby field.

The husband and wife were only 40 and 36 years old when they disappeared. Their seven children did not stop looking for them. Their 79-year-old daughter expressed relief at having found the corpses.

The worker who found the bodies saw a man and woman "wearing clothing dating from the period of World War Two." DNA tests will be conducted to reveal whether the bodies are in fact that of the missing couple. The children plan on conducting a funeral once the police release the bodies.
