Christmas is a festival of giving` because Lord Jesus Christ throughout his life gave away everything that he had in his life. In fact even when he was crucified on the cross he had no resentment, instead, he prayed to the Almighty for his enemies to forgive them for their ignorance.

Thus it is believed the best way to celebrate Christmas is to help the poor and the needy. A great philosopher said, "Christmas will became Merry Christmas`, only when we celebrate it by giving the light of love to those who need it most and let the spirit of Christmas not be limited to single day, but the whole year!

Interestingly believing in the philosophy of Giving` famous Bollywood actress Evelyn Sharma recognized for her work in Bollywood movies like Yeh JAWAANI HAI DEWAANI and YAARIYAN has decided to celebrate this year`s holy Christmas festival by holding a fund-raising event called the 'Christmas Garage Sale'.

Briefing media about her plan she said, "I believe in the ideology of Swami Vivekananda, who aptly said, "To serve mankind is to serve God. Hence service to mankind is the best and the perfect prayer, deed or action."

Explaining about her plan she said, "Under my NGO Seams For Dreams` (SFD), I have organized a fund raising event- the 'Christmas Garage Sale'. The aim of this fund raiser is to collect funds and help the poor and needy by providing warm clothes, shelter and blankets to the people living in cold regions of India."

The event is supported by many Bollywood personalities like Alia Bhatt, Parineeti Chopra, Anushka Sharma, Deepika Padukone etc.
