First real clash of 2012 is taking place this weekend with 'Jodi Breakers' and 'Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya' taking on each other. Even though close to a couple of months have gone by this year, most of the medium to high budget films were enjoying a solo arrival for themselves. However the makers of 'Jodi Breakers' and 'Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya' always had February in mind and even though this clash would now mean that there would be an impact on collections, both have reasons to believe that they would enjoy a successful outing.

Let's place the facts right though. Both films belong to the romcom genre which means for audience it is indeed a matter of choice to be made. However, none of the two films are high budget extravaganzas that need mega collections on the first weekend to qualify for a make or break scenario. Made in medium budget, they have the potential to make moolah on the basis of screen space made available to them. Since neither of the two are looking at creating or making any records, an above average response at the box office would help them sail through as well.
Having said that, the fact cannot be denied that 'Jodi Breakers' has been promoted more extensively than 'Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya' and is also expected to arrive at a bigger screen count. On the other hand this Madhavan-Bipasha movie is also a tad expensive than the Riteish-Genelia starrer. However somewhere down the line one feels that the fact Riteish and Genelia are now a couple in real life as well hasn't been churned to the fullest, something which would have added on the hype.
All of this means that both films are expected to open on a decent note that should eventually pull them through. While 'Jodi Breakers' should embark on a 50%-60% opening, 'Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya' too should be more or less neck to neck with a 40%-50% start.
