‘Pattalam’, as its title effectively suggests, is a fun riot about a bubbly gang of nine students and their life in a school campus. Leading the young pack is evergreen actress Nadiya, who plays a counselor in the movie.

The boys and girls who form the lead cast were auditioned from a massive group of 8,000 youngsters who were tested at the production house’s official premises. Irfan, Hari and Balaji were chosen from the trendsetting teleserial Kana Kaanum Kaalangal, which was also initially directed by Rohan Krishna himself.

One of the youngsters in the cast, Guru, is actually the son of comedy artiste Pandu. Sheeba Rohan, wife of director Rohan Krishna, has written the story for ‘Pattalam’, which has cinematography by Krishnasamy. Songs of the film, which are already popular on radio, have been composed by Jassie Gift.
