An Indian model of Arabian and Brazilian origin, Bruna Abdullah has been aiming at making inroads in Bollywood as an actress as well instead of just being termed as an item girl. This was evidenced in 'I Hate Luv Storys' where she actually had a role to play too. However, though director Rohit Dhawan didn't have an elaborate character written for her in 'Desi Boyz', he did promise her a rocking song which was much more than just an item number and actually contributed to the story.

"The character that she plays in the film is about to get married soon and she hires the 'services' of Akshay and John to make her 'single status' memorable," informs a source, "As male escorts, they do the needful but then the story doesn't just end with them burning the dance floors. As the song (Subah Hone Na De - Tu Mera Hero) reaches it's culmination, there is a twist in the tale that ends up bringing a conflict in the proceedings," informs a source connected to the film.

When contacted, director Rohit Dhawan was all the more forthcoming when it came to Bruna's appearance in the film. He says, "There is a lot more than actually meets the eye and though 'Tu Mera Hero' seems like all fun and frolic, the fact remains that it is Bruna's entry in the plot which changes track for 'Desi Boyz'."

Well, with Deepika Padukone and Chitrangda Singh as the designated leading ladies, one waits to see how exactly Bruna goes about bringing a twist in the tale here.
