So Marvel refuses to let go of its big hitting superheroes who are hell-bent in saving the world, the Avengers yes. But Civil war is a let off from Avengers and Captain America Winter soldier with the world’s mightiest superheroes fuming at each other after things go haywire. Its Cap Vs Iron and what else can one expect, brawl, madness, destruction, and two teams ready to go head on at each other. The movie has more characters than Avengers, yet the director seem to have shuffled them well within their basics by bringing enough feud and family to get into the skin of their characters. All said, it’s a perfect outing for a summer after DC’s attempt to revive Batman and Superman didn’t do enough justice to Comic book lovers, this is the answer.

World leaders demand oversight over Earth’s Mightiest Heroes after the costly and deadly events of the first Avengers brought about. Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) is for signing onto the Sokovia Accords, while Captain America (Chris Evans) is very much against it. After a deadly attack is attributed to Cap’s old partner, Bucky “The Winter Soldier” Barnes (Sebastian Stan), Cap goes into hiding to locate and protect his oldest friend while Tony Stark and the Avengers who side with him are given a deadline to stop them before less friendly elements are sent after them. Marvel‘s Captain America: Civil War finds Steve Rogers leading the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps—one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark’s surprising decision to support government.

Now this is pretty much evident in the trailer and the lead up to how, where and aftermath of the clash forms Civil war. Between the political issues, explosive battles and a wicked plot by new villain-on-the-scene Helmut Zemo (Daniel Brühl), Civil War is overflowing with story. Yet the central conflict between super friends Steve and Tony stays in focus, even becoming in a real and tragic way as the plot progresses onto Winter soldier and to an extent makes us hard for us to believe that once brothers in Arms – Captain America and Iron Man are now up against each other causing enough havoc to each other.

With a whale of characters, you start losing sight of whom to support with the favorite Spider Man too making entry ( Tom Holland), its just a matter of time before we stop yelling in support of our favorite super hero. But keeping it for the best, the characters have enough build up time and no wonder the movie is stretched at a little near the 2 hour and 30 minute mark. Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, who also made CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER into an immensely satisfying racy thriller, CIVIL WAR is a sensational piece of entertainment, an action epic with a bit of emotional content for our costumed heroes. The screenplay juggles a ton of characters and gives almost all of them a few moments to shine, no one really gets the short version. If the crowded roller coaster of Avengers weren't enough, the filmmakers have added two more superheroes, a few bureaucrats (a couple of them returning from past films, at least one new), a handful of villains and a lot of frightened civilians. This movie is jam-packed with characters and information, and though it's certainly long, it never feels too long. That's because it's so much damn fun.

As much as we try to count there are about 18 superheroes in the movie and their super powers and those Marvel tricks are enough to have the ball rolling. The best possible way to enjoy this movie would be to sit cozy in the new Imax in Chennai and experience it rather than just being it a onetime spectacle. Forget about who to cheer for, Cap, Iron, Spidey … just the sheer fun of a comic hero is enough to take one down the ticket lane.

To sum up, Civil war is a good treat for comic lovers after the disastrous outing from Batman Vs Superman, this should provide the much required relief.
