Captain starts 'Viruthagiri'

Vijayakanth today started his directorial venture 'Viruthagiri' in which he is playing the lead role, a police officer.

Produced by L K Sudeesh for Captain Cine Creations, some important portions of the movie were shot by Vijayakanth in Saidapet today, say sources in the know.

A search is on for heroine. On the movie, Vijayakanth says, "it is not the regular police story you are watching for decades. 'Viruthagiri' is about a honest police officer who is too smart and strong," he says.
