The Karnataka state Assembly speaker Kagodu Thimmappa has clearly mentioned that there is no need of his permission to file a case on sitting MLA and current minister of Housing Dr Ambarish.

Dr Ambarish

Advocate Vinod has filed a case on government of Karnataka spending Rs.1.16 crore on the health of Dr Ambarish. The speaker of Assembly Kagodu Thimmappa taking a look at this application said the advocate is free to file a case.

It may be recalled that Dr Ambarish was in poor health condition was admitted to Vikram Hospital and from there he was shifted to Singapore for special care. According to 1958 Act on meeting the medical expenses of a minister, the economic condition of the actor has to be considered first. Rs.5 lakh in the case of Dr Ambarish, Minister of Housing was limit of approval according to books of law.

The question arises in clearing the bill of Rs.1.16 crores. Dr Ambarish is economically sound and the need does not arise. The people money in the government coffers is unnecessarily spent. Advocate Vinod urged for filing a case against Dr Ambarish in Lok Ayuktha.
