'Julie' and beyond
IANS [Tuesday, August 17, 2004]

The best thing to have happened to Neha Dhupia is "Julie". Even the bold Mallika Sherawat is feeling threatened. On a TV channel, she said she didn't know who Neha Dhupia was.

"That's so funny," Neha says. "We've both been models in Delhi. We even travelled for a show together once. She generously gave me a ride."

Just back from a holiday in Toronto, Neha is over the moon. "'Julie' was being promoted in a certain way. It could've easily slipped into the sleaze moan-and-groan zone. Luckily for me, it didn't."

And now, as per Bollywood conventions, Neha is besieged by 'hot' roles. In fact, one of her forthcoming films "Limit" has hastily been renamed "Hot". But Neha is not too pleased. "No bold films just for shock value for me, thank you!"
