The action packed trailer for superstar Rajinikanth's upcoming performance capture photorealistic film 'Kochadaiiyaan' was recently unveiled by the legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan. After the trailer was revealed, Big B spoke at length about its excellence, his association with his close friend and superstar Rajinikanth, and the brilliant debutante director Soundarya.

Talking about his close friend Rajinikanth, Bachchan Sr. reminisced, "He was saying, 'You know Amitji, I am getting bored, I don't know what to do now' and I said, Please do not stop working. Just continue doing what you are doing, irrespective of the fact that it is boring to you, and look what he produces now!!"

Amitabh spoke about Rajinikanth's crazy fan following down South, stating how it is impossible to get tickets for his movies for the first few weeks, because his fan clubs buy them all. Once you finally get tickets, you have to go once again, because you can't hear anything over all the applause, cheering and the frenzy.

While praising Kochadaiiyaan, the legendary actor also said, "I hope that the theatres are filled for Kochadaiiyan for years and years to come and I hope that people like me who want to go to the theatre to see it have to wait for several years before we can go and see it."

He concluded his speech with these words, "May I just say on the 100th year of Indian cinema, that when the history of Indian cinema will be written, it'll be before Kochadaiiyaan and after Kochadaiiyaan".

The event saw the presence of many renowned personalities like Aishwarya Rai, Jaya Bachchan, Kajol, Shekhar Kapur, Subhash Ghai, R. Balki, Anupam Kher and Ramesh Sippy, among others, who appreciated the work of the debutante director. The film stars Rajinikanth and Deepika Padukone.  Produced by Media One Entertainment & Eros International, Kochadaiiyaan will hit theatres soon.
