Team 'Titli' is apparently ecstatic... For, 'Titli' has turned out to be the only film that has got an official entry to Cannes from India. Not just that, FICCI also opened its Indian Pavilion and did their first panel discussion with the 'Titli' team.
Avatar Panesar from YRF, Kanu Behl the director of 'Titli', Shashank Arora, Ranvir Shorey and Guneet Monga, the international sales agent for 'Titli' were present for the panel discussion. Panel discussion was followed by a cocktail party that was hosted by FICCI in honour of 'Titli'. Kanu Behl at the panel discussion was heard saying, "The film had to be accidental - the edit and the execution was designed that way." Entire Indian contingent including filmmakers and actors were present to congratulate and honour Titli's achievement. To be selected as one of the 18 films in Uncertain Regard is a huge achievement.
Talking about the film, Ranvir Shorey said, "It's the best written work to have come to me and I had to do this and grabbed it with both hands."
"While YRF and DBP may appear to be very different companies on the face of it, the fact is that both are only driven by one vision - to see, good stories told better on screen... Everything stems from the creative - commerce only comes in to the equation later," stated Avtar.
