Released in 2010, film 'The Man From Nowhere' is hailed as the biggest grosser of South Korean cinema. Now buzz is that the popular Won Bin starrer action thriller is getting an official remake in Bollywood by 'Force' famed director Nishikant Kamath as 'Rocky Handsome'.
With John Abraham and Shruti Haasan as lead pair, 'Rocky Handsome' will be produced under the actor's home banner JA Entertainment along with Sunir Kheterpal's Azure Entertainment. Incidentally, John and Shruti are already playing an onscreen couple with Anees Bazmee's 'Welcome Back'. According to sources, the shooting of the film already got started last weekend and its reported to have a long schedule; including shooting in Mumbai, Hyderabad and Goa.
Going by the original story, the film revolves around the protagonist who shares emotional bond with a seven year old girl. How the kid gets abducted by drug mafia along with her mother, a bar dancer and how the hero goes on a revenge pursuit against the gang of villains - forms the crux of the story.
Sources added that Brazilian hottie Natalie Kaur of 'Department' fame plays the mother-bar dancer in 'Rocky Handsome' and the makers will shoot a sizzling club number with her soon. While John and Shruti essay husband and wife in the film, hunt is on for four popular actors who will play the baddies.
Incidentally, the film is said to have John featuring in three different looks and sources claim that this movie is something to watch-out for, given the fact the actor-producer has worked extensively on his character images and physique.
