The Caribbean nation of Trinidad and Tobago has invited Indian filmmakers to shoot their films in picturesque locales in that country.
The country's high commissioner to India, Pundit Maniedeo Persad, said here Sunday: "Indian filmmakers will be provided with preferential rates and concessions."
Making a presentation to the Madras Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Persad said his country has plans to set up a Film Development Corporation that will address the needs of production companies.
He also said Hindi films and music were very popular in Trinidad and there were four radio stations playing Hindi songs and "chutney" music (fusion).
