If the way the buzz for Mangal Pandey is increasing with every passing hour, one won't be surprised that Aamir Khan's 'Mangal Pandey - The Rising' may break the first week record for the city of Mumbai.

While 'Sarkar' did cross the 3 crore mark, it also had Thane collections added to the final tally. With record number of prints flooding the market, multiplexes looking at more than 10 shows a day at an average and talks of increased admission rates, it won't come as a surprise if 3 crore plus opening week in Mumbai city alone becomes a reality.

And if major cities like Delhi, Pune, Gurgaon, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Kolkata and Chennai follow suit, it again won't come as a surprise if Veer Zaara's all India opening week record of 17 crore is threatened!

No doubt, 'Mangal Pandey' is already a red hot movie in the exhibition circles!
