Years back when KBC came for the first time on Indian television, history was created. In those days multiplexes were a rarity and the show timings in single screen theatres were a routine 12-3-6-9.

This meant that KBC that was aired at 9 PM ate into the night show business of theatres, with 9 PM shows showing a major dip.

But not any more, and that too for 2 reasons. One, no doubt that curiosity around KBC is still high but there have been so many entertainment shows over last few years that one single show making people stay at home is not a practically assumption.

Two, at multiplexes shows are as late as 10:00, 10:30 and 11 PM, which means that people may have their cake and eat it too i.e. watch KBC and still be able to catch the latest movie at the neighborhood multiplex.

A win-win situation for everyone involved!
