A popular restaurant here came alive with the laughter of little children when singer Madhushree hosted a party for street kids there.

The event saw over 20 children enjoy a musical evening in the convivial ambience of Caravan Serai and authentic northwestern frontier delicacies dished out by Chef Riyaz Ahmed.

Madhushree and her friends regaled the audiences with her foot-tapping numbers during the informal get-together.

"Music transcends all barriers, and a musical evening, to my mind, was the best way to keep the little minds happy. I think this is something that each one of us should do... give back to society what we have received from it," said Madhushree.

Members of music fraternity and other Bollywood personalities including Shoma Ghosh, N. Chandra, Brij Bhushan, Ravindra Jain, Sapna Mukherji and Mahendra Kapoor joined the singer.
