Reema Kagti's idea was STOLEN?
IndiaGlitz [Monday, March 06, 2006]

Reema Kagti who is directing Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd was quite surprised that Nikhil Advani who was first narrated the script did not do the film after several visits and talks.

The film is finally being produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani. She recently discovered that the Nikhil Advani's film Salaam E Ishq is very similar to her film. How similar is what she does not know. Both the films have a story woven around six couples.

But Reema will be able to release her film far earlier than Nikhil who is still on his 35-day schedule in mumbai busy assembling his star cast. Reema has everything in place and will have a start to finish schedule from March 9 to April 25. The postproduction will be over in 2-3 months.

The film will hence release before Diwali before Advani's film. Reema is thankful that he did not make her film. This gave her a one-time chance to become a director. So that does not bother her anymore whether Nikhil has stolen her idea or not. The original will be out anyway earlier than any other copy.
