She got some semblance of credulity when she starred in a Subhash Ghai hit film 36 China Town not so long ago. Better known for displaying her curvaceous figure and spouting kisses-by-the-dozen, Rohatgi is in news for her alleged link-up with late politician Pramod Mahajan’s son Rahul Mahajan who has been embroiled in a drugs controversy where he almost died due to an overdose.

Most of them are denying having had any acquaintance with the Mahajan scion at this hour of crisis where he has been arrested by the Police and can well be imprisoned for over an year. But Payal, who herself admits to ‘knowing’ Rahul for four years isn’t shying away from owning up to her ‘good-friends’ status with him. According to her she would always be grateful to him for helping her search for a house in Mumbai when she first came here. Well settled in US with her husband Dr Sonu Ahluwalia, Batra admits to knowing the contentious man since the time she participated in a fundraiser for Kargil soldiers organised by him way back in 1999. Obviously she denies having had any ‘relationship’ with him other than being ‘best of friends’.
