It's a known fact that producer Sajid Nadiadwala has shrewd business acumen and instincts, as gauged from the fact that he has been churning block-blusters consistently. Like the production houses from Yashraj and Karan Johar, he too has been creating brand equity for himself. Not surprising he was the only independent producer to be listed in the Filmfare Power list of the year.
According to Sajid Nadiadwala, the banner will go corporate in a big way in the near future. The company's future plan of expansion would be in distribution. When asked about his mantra for success as a producer in the entertainment industry, he said, "Though in this high risk industry there is no particular formula for success, it would help if you make movies you would like to see, discipline yourself and ensure corporate discipline. Also it is important to have strong relationships with distributors so that you can get the best theatres while most importantly one should try to get as close as possible to the viewer!"
His banner has completed 50 years and has been a witness to many winds of change, eras and preferences in the audience and the industry. Still it has remained rock steady because of its single most desire to "ENTERTAIN" with clean family entertainment. The banner has always made universal films with total dedication and creativity at the highest level.
Says Sajid Nadiadwala, "Right now I'm celebrating 50 years of my company, and am looking ahead in taking the company to the next level. I think we are at the beginning of the huge growth curve by corporatization of the film industry, but yet one is not trying to impinge on freedom to create. Ultimately it is not just creativity that will see Bollywood go global but a combination of 'Creativity', 'Corporatization' and 'ethics'."
