Around a couple of weeks back, there were talks about Jackie Shroff playing a lead role in one of Ekta Kapoor's television magnum opus. The latest reports indicate that the initiative is currently on hold and the fans of Jackie would have to wait to see him in silver screen for some more time!

When asked about this development, Ekta Kapoor commented that since the role required Jackie to play a mentally challenged actor, it was mutually decided that it may not really suit his on-screen image and would be in the best interest of everyone if some other actor played that role.

She added that the production house and the actor would certainly be working together when a good opportunity comes.
