‘Asian Flava’ remains at the same spot hence making the Top-5 albums stay on firmly at the same place as they were last week. Sitting pretty at the middle of the charts, it is unlikely that it would break into Top-3 looking at the stiff competition it has up there.

VIBES III

Except for Kailash Kher’s ‘Kailasa’ and Himesh Reshammiya’s ‘Aap Ka Surroor’, the world of Indi-pop is surviving mainly with compilations dominating the show. ‘Vibes III’ is in continuation to the same trend and brings together a string of dance hits under one umbrella.

Lounge Safari 2

The only album to have made some movement from last week, ‘Lounge Safari 2’ moves a couple of steps with a promise to show further progress as weeks go by. Artists like Abida Parveen, Karunesh, Abhijit Pohankar, Indian Ocean and Midival Punditz are already household names and it is not difficult to market an album solely on the strength of credentials like these.

Aap Ka Surroor

As expected ‘Wada Tainu’ is picking up tempo after a rather slow beginning [surprising!]. The album moves down a step though and it would be interesting to see of it stretches on to stay in the charts for an entire year till January next year.

#1 Rock Stars

Surprising to see that ‘# 1 Rock Stars’ has actually moves a step below rather than moving up! A compilation of the biggest hits like ‘Aadat’, ‘Salli’, ‘Tere Bina’, Sab Bhula Ke’, ‘Sar Kiye Pahar’, ‘Alvida’ and many more, the album deserves a place in Top-5 soon!

Best of DJ Suketu

Why is the music company going slow on this compilation by DJ Suketu? If the promotion remains the same as it is, it is quite likely that the album may be out of charts in a couple of week’s time with some other album barging its way soon. Now that would be not be heartening for an album that has some of the best remixes by DJ Suketu!
