Himesh Reshamiya may be in US, but his popularity continues to soar. Earlier a motorbike company used his number ‘Jhalak Dikhlaja’ in their television campaign. Later the same song was banned in a village in Rajasthan as they felt that whenever this song was played or sung, it invited ghosts. Now, ‘Jhalak Dikhlaja’ is the name of a celebrity Dance Show on prime time on Sony TV. Earlier Karishma Kapoor was supposed to be one of the judges along with Farah Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali. But now she has opted out due to monetary differences with the producers. In her place, svelte siren Shilpa Shetty has smiled her way in.

The high profile show which is being pitted against ‘Nach Baliye 2’ on Star One is going to be hosted by Archana Puran Singh and hubby Parmet Sethi. And the show is being produced by Siddharth Basu’s Synergy Communications. It must be a departure for Basu from his quiz shows like KBC and ‘Heartbeat’ to a Dance Show.
