Versatile and mercurial actress Rekha is going places. She is looking forward to JP Dutta’s ‘Umrao Jaan’ where Aishwarya Rai is going to try to recreate Madam Re’s eternal charm. In all probability, Ash will fall short of the magnetism epitomized by Rekha a good silver jubilee years away. The legendary actress, it seems has moved on.  There are reports that she shall be making her directorial debut next year. And after getting immense praise from all and sundry for her grandmother act in ‘Krrish’ there’s more applause waiting for her. And this time across seven seas!

Rekha, Nana Patekar and Dipti Naval starrer ‘Yatra’ has been selected as the only official entry to the coveted Montreal Film Festival commencing on September 1st. Directed by National Award winning director Gautam Ghose, the music for ‘Yatra’ has been composed by the veteran genius Khayyam. ‘Yatra’ is also expected to be screened at the Sun Dance Festival to be held in January next year.
