"A middle aged man is worn down by his home life where he and his wife struggle to cope with the demands of their daughter's illness, and his job. When he meets a charming woman on the train to work, there is an immediate spark between them. Soon they are doing lunch; dinner and drinks follow. This leads to an adulterous rendezvous in an hotel. But no sooner have they torn each others' clothes off that their room is invaded by a thief who beats the man and rapes the woman. Because of the illicit nature of their relationship, the man is reluctant to go to the Police and soon finds himself powerless to resist the every demand of the thief!!"

Sounds like a good thriller in the making, isn't it? Well, this is the synopsis of Hollywood film 'Derailed' starring Clive Owen, Vincent Cassel and Jennifer Aniston that released last year. And if trade buzz is to be believed, there are plans of a Hindi remake by not one but at least two producers!

While on one side Sanjay Kapoor has the film on the wish list, producer Shyam Bajaj [of 'Aksar' fame] too is contemplating a remake. No points for guessing that Sanjay Kapoor wishes to rope in 'bada bhai' Anil Kapoor while Shyam Bajaj is looking at recreating the 'Aksar' magic with Emraan Hashmi!

One wonders how come Vishesh Films missed out in picking an inspiration from this one?
