It’s not official yet, but it has been learnt from reliable sources that this year’s Dada Sahab Phalke Award will be conferred on actress of yesteryears Sulochna. Earlier IndiaGlitz reported that Bengali Actress Suchitra Sen is seen to be the favourite, but what went against her was that the reclusive actor was reluctant to go to Delhi to accept the award from the President.

Several prominent Maharashtrians like Lata Mangeshkar, Balasaheb Thackeray and Sharad Pawar had reportedly been supporting Sulochna’s candidature in their letters to Priya Ranjan Dasmunshi, the Minister of Information and Broadcasting. Sulochhna is overwhelmed by the show of support-n-solidarity. It’s time the Ministry announces the winner as well as the National Awardees too.
