Quizmaster Siddharth Basu had been around for a long time now. His dapper suits on DD Quiz Time sharp at nine were as much a hit as his unique style of hosting quiz shows that were unmatched. He recreated his magic with Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ that saw dizzying heights of popularity.

It’s time for him to move on. The latest news on him is that young business magnet Pooja Shetty (Daughter of Manmohan Shetty), director, Adlab Films Ltd. has entered a new  territory by acquiring a major stake in Siddharth Basu’s Synergy Communications, a leading content provider for television. It’s being said that Siddharth’s credibility over the years was the prime reason behind this deal.

As a viewer I would say, Mr Basu, give me my next round of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’. For KBC jaisa koi programme nahin.
