‘Dance Masti’ topples ‘Kailasa’, #1 Rock Stars forces its way in Top 3.

1	2	Dance Masti Forever	While on the movie’s front KANK was displaced by Don after an uninterrupted run for weeks, the story was repeated on the non-film album front as well with ‘Dance Masti Forever’ edging past ‘Kailasa’ which has now moved to #2 spot for the first time ever. Another analogy with the movies is that just like all sequels in Bollywood are working, this musical sequel in the lineage of ‘Dance Masti’ is also a HIT!
2	1	Kailasa	After a spectacular 6 month run, ‘Kailasa’ finally moved off the #1 spot but still maintains good sales by being at #2 position. It seems unlikely that it would be not remain in the Top-3 position for at least 4-6 weeks more to come.
3	Re-entry	#1 Rock Stars	Surprise surprise as probably for the first time ever this year, an album has actually made a re-entry into the charts and that too straight into the Top-3. Call it some pumped up promotion, word of mouth and some excellent compilation of songs from across the border, ‘#1 Rocks Stars’ has finally got its due. Lovers of Pakistani pop would be thrilled to hear songs from Jal, Shehzad Roy, Fuzon, Call, Strings, Salman Ahmed, Junoon, Ali Zafar and many more, all in the same album!
4	3	Let The Music Play	Absence of any new music album creating euphoria at the music stands means that there is not much music movement in the charts. The albums from this point on are those that have been hanging around for a while and maintaining consistent, if not extraordinary sales. ‘Let The Music Play’ tops this list and should be around till the year ends. Expect a sequel of this successful album to arrive at the year beginning!
5	4	Lounge Safari 2	‘Lounge Safari 2’ is good but surprisingly hasn’t been as popular as its predecessor ‘Lounge Safari’. When the latter had come, it was a rage since it was one of its kinds and enjoyed a terrific word of mouth. One looks forward in the coming weeks to see if this sequel would be able to make a similar mark.
6	5	Collaborations	‘Collaborations’ continues to be in the middle of the charts since its arrival! The first two videos have been good but in order to push the sales further on, it’s time for a new video to be out soon.
7	6	Asian Flava II	The sound of Asia [read Punjabi] never fails to entertain and this is prevalent in case of ‘Asian Flava II’ that hangs on to be a steady companion of youngsters and DJs alike. Can there be a better promotion now, please!?
8	7	FRICTION 2–The Party Continues	After a heavy fall a couple of weeks back, ‘Friction 2‘ has now stabilized its position. But one can also attribute it to lack of any major competition. If only a couple of more high voltage compilations arrive on the scene, the going may get tough for both ‘Friction 2’ and ‘Vibes III’!
9	8	VIBES III	Vibes III is engrossing enough to have your feet moving though certainly not be the best ever dance floor compilation ever created. After a decent stay in the charts, it is now on its way out after an average run.
10	9	Aap Ka Surroor	For the first time ever since its January release, Himesh Reshammiya’s ‘Aap Ka Surroor’ is at the bottom of the charts with a #10 ranking. Probably the music company too has realized that it has been overkill and hence no new music video has been out for weeks. Nevertheless, Reshammiya can now take a bow with a round of heavy applause after a great 9 month outing for his superb album!
