“Munnabhai is a great film,” said Aamir Khan in a Mumbai Newspaper today. With his film ‘Rang De Basanti’ finding favours with the Indian jury as an official entry to the Oscars this year the ‘perfectionist’ Khan has gone in a Media overdrive. As he himself has said that he talks to the Press whenever he has something to talk about, Aamir has come out in open to support a film he truly believes in. But given a choice he admits if he would have been in the jury, it would have been difficult for him to make a selection between ‘Rang De Basanti’ and ‘Lage Raho Munnabhai’ as both are “very good films”.

Aamir has pledged all his support to the team of UTV CEO (Producer of RDB), Ronnie Screwvala and director Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra. His experience in the campaign for ‘Lagaan’ (‘Lagaan’ along with ‘Mother India’ and ‘Salaam Bombay’ are the only three films which have been selected in the final five of the Best Film in The Foreign Language) as a Producer will come in handy for the chances of ‘RDB’ at the Oscars. Aamir is repeatedly saying that the best way of making it to the Final Five is by showing the film to as many members of the jury as possible.
