Nightingale of India Lata Mangeshkar turns 77 today. India’s pride and the cynosure of the eyes all over the world, Lata didi is a milestone in her own right. She has been singing for the last six decades with amazing felicity. Be it ‘Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya’ to ‘Dide Tera Dewar Deewana’…the eldest of Mangeshkar is still going strong.

Her songs in the forthcoming release ‘Jai Santoshi Maa’ stand testimony to the fact that her voice is still fresh. Another song that is notable from her in the last couple of years is the haunting ‘Kitne Ajeeb Rishte Hain Yahaan Pe’ from Madhur Bhandarkar’s ‘Page 3’.
