"RGV doesn't care if a film is hit or a flop" - Jiah
IndiaGlitz [Saturday, October 07, 2006]

She is all set to make a racy debut in 'Nishabd', the Indian take on 'Lolita' opposite none other than superstar Amitabh Bachchan and directed by Ram Gopal Verma. Her debut film is yet to be released, but she has already set Bollywood on fire with her sensuality and her devil care attitude. In fact she has already received rave reviews for her performance as a 18 year old in love with a much older person.

Says Jiah, "At the end of the day its love, whether it comes from a person of your age or much older. In fact a much older person's love is better than a younger person, who is only after one thing."

She Adds, "Its mind over matter. You can't really stop falling in love with someone because of some invisibly banners. Personally I would just go with the flow."

Jiah who was born in New York & brought up in UK says that though she doesn't mind to be called a sex kitten because she is free spirited & quite comfortable with her skin, she would prefer to understand the different nuances of the character offered to her.

She is also pleased that she is being launched in film that will showcase various shades to the character, and that too at such an early stage of her career and wishes to do challenging roles which will take her career ahead.

Jiah considers Amitabh Bachchan to be the sexiest star in the industry and considering her fetish for Men's perfume, she didn't feel shy of telling him that he smells good.

Says Jiah, "Nishabd will surprise a lot of people. The film is a highly emotional & intense drama and acting opposite him was such a wonderful experience. He guided me to scale emotions to that height and was very patient with me since I was facing the camera for the first time. In Nishabd, the intimacy is momentary rather than physical and therein lies the chemistry."

About RGV, she says "He always does films different from others. His sensibilities are so different. He doesn't care if it's a hit or a flop. He will do a film he believes in….He simply rocks!!"
