Brangelina wave has gripped the sleeping town of Pune. In fact, the quiet city has been jolted by the power of papparazi like never seen before in the country. The photographs of the couple in India are being valued at a whopping $100, 000. Now, that sounds a bit preposterous to me, but the British photographer who was ruthlessly manhandled by Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s haughty security guard claims the figure to be true.

The couple booked 14 out of the 15 Royal Club Suites at the Le Meridian hotel (Rate of each suite is Rs 16, 000/ per night pluz 10% luxury tax). For foreigners, it is $395 per night. The couple has also hired 14 cars – two Mercs, six Innovas, Skodas and three Lancers. The hotel staff said that they’ve also booked four or five bungalows as well as rooms in another five star hotel. They are here to shoot for a film based on the death of journalist Daniel Pearl. Irfan Khan is also playing a pivotal role in the film.

After playing hide-n-seek with the media, Brangelina gave a taste of superstardom to India when they boarded a…hold-ur-breath an Auto Rickshaw to move around the city yesterday with the frenzy-of-camerapersons-in-tow. Now, I am wondering what the value of this auto rickshaw will be if (And I think it should be) it is auctioned. The rickshaw driver may be worth a fortune.

It remains to be seen what more is in store for Brangelina fans.
