By now you must have geared up to watch out for 'Bhagam Bhag' which releases this December. Directed by Priyadarshan, it has a lethal trio of Akshay Kumar, Govinda and Paresh Rawal which is good enough to get one hyped.

But are you aware that a film with the same title was made exactly half a century back?

It was year 1956 when Bhagwan made a comedy by the name of 'Bhagam Bhag'. The film starred comedy king Kishore Kumar in the lead along with Kumkum, Shashikala along with Bhagwan himself. The film is considered to be a classic comedy with hit songs and hit music. It was a story of intrigue and romance involving the two main characters, Bhagwan and Kishore and the mystery of the "black coat".

Nevertheless, there is no similarity whatsoever between the old and the new 'Bhagam Bhag', except for a common title.
