A few days back Amitabh Bachchan was honored by French Government for its highest civilian award - 'Officer of the Legion of Honour' - for his contribution to Indian and international cultural life.

Exactly a month later, it is the turn of Lata Mangeshkar to be chosen for the Knight of Legion Award by the French government's for her contribution to the world of cinema.

French Ambassador to India Dominique Gerard will present the award to her next month in Mumbai.
